On the off chance that anyone does read this I just thought I would announce that I am going to start writing on my blog again very soon. It has been too long and I want to keep a better record of my knitting purchases and FO's so I will be back.

I can't believe it has been so long since I last posted, I blame Twitter and Ravelry I seem to spend any free computer time I get on those sites and that doesn't include the phone app's lol.

I have a few spare moments before I get everyone up for church so I thought I would pop on and do a quick update. Well we have had the school summer holidays and we all survived pretty much intact. Joe left school in June and is now at Hairdressing College which is carrying on what he did at school, he did ok in his GCSE's passed 4 of them including the Hairdressing stuff which is technically equivilent to 3 GCSE's. Considering he was pretty much suspended or isolated for most of year 11 he actually did pretty good!!!

Jade started senior school last week and is quite keen at the moment.

I now have 3 schools a playschool and occasionally a college to drop kids off to so as you can imagine mornings and mid afternoons are not good times for me. As I mentioned I am now back to doing Playschool runs as Gracie starts this week. I am pleased about that as I worked out I have been having kids home and taking the to school for 17 years now and I really could do with a couple of mornings a week to myself.lol

We had a good holiday we went to Hopton Nr Great Yarmouth in a caravan, but this year we took Carly, Jamie and the kids as well and we had a great time. Although obviously it rained the whole time!!

On the knitting front things are going really well I have had a few finished items and I have 4 things on the needles but all of those are well on the way and two are practically finished. I have a shawlette that I am knitting for Jade in sock yarn which is lovely and I only have about 10 or 15 rows to go, I also have the mini me skirt from Barefoot Knits although it is not in the book but a seperate pattern I bought from their site a while ago, I have done the front so only the back to go. Next I have the TIA cardigan from an edition of Let's Knit and lastly a striped jumper which is also from Lets knit but a supplement that came with the magazine, all of these are being knit for Gracie.

Right well I shall post some pics of my finished objects as I am going back to June I shall try and remember which ones I have done.

Well I think that is it for now I hope to post a bit quicker next time.

Just a quick note to confirm that I am still around I just haven't blogged as I have had no camera and I don't like blogging if I have no pictures. The good news is I got a new camera today, although as of yet I can't get any pictures to load up onto the PC but that is typical of me and technology it never goes right!!!!

I actually have 3 and very soon to be 4 finished projects so hope to update Ravelry very soon.

This is what they call short and sweet but I hope to be back with something more interesting very soon.xx

I have decided that I am going to start blogging again. I am pretty sure no one actually reads this but I thought I would do it anyway. I have really let things slide mainly because of Facebook, Twitter and of course Ravelry. It is so much easier to post pics and comments on these social network sites than coming and writing a piece here. But I also love reading other blogs so I thought if everyone stopped writing them there would be nothing to read so I decided to revive mine.lol

It is so long I have a load of finished projects which I may post just as photos but won't go into too much detail about.

My big passion these days as well as the knitting!! is listening to knitting podcasts I am so addicted I think the main reason is as I know hardly any,although that has changed slightly lately, (more info on that in a minute) knitters in the real world so for me listening to other people talking about knitting for hours on end is just bliss.lol

I have so many favourites I can't even begin to list them all here, but If anybody listens to The High Fibre Diet then I have to say that in her latest episode when she talks about pot luck which is where she takes projects she likes from her group page and talks about them she actually picked on of mine!!! I was so made up, I actually jumped out of my chair, hubby wondered what on earth had happened.lol

I have recently started going to a knitting group with two lovely ladies Emma and Stacey, there is also a fourth member Pamela but she is not there as often, at the moment as there is only 4 of us we hold our meetings at Stacey's house on Mondays at 10.30am it has been so nice to talk to other knitters:-)

Oher news I have started crochet lessons at a local Adult learing College, only had 2 so far but it is going pretty good I have learned 3 stiches and can now hold the hook although it still doesn't feel totally comfortable yet. There is a nice bunch of ladies there and it is an enjoyable 2 hours each week. I have also signed up for a one off session on how to use your sewing machine in July which should also be good.

On the kids front things have been up and down, Joe is 16 and is a complete pain, but I don't have the energy to go into all the details about that now. All the rest are good and the grandkids are growing faster every day.

Well as ever I haven't been keeping up to date on here. I have two finished items to show, one is a waistcoat for Amber, which she never seems to take off, and the other is a hat for Jade.

I have really been finding it hard to settle with one project lately, as my Ravelry projects will show I have a real problem finishing anything these days. It hasn't stopped me buying more yarn though my latest phase is for lace weight yarn, as I have this idea that I am going to knit shawls or scarfs as teacher's presents this year for christmas, obviously as I am buying this yarn I am fully aware that the chances of me finishing even one of these items by christmas is very slim, but they are so pretty.lol

This is a funny week as Jade has gone away for a week with her school and it feels strange without her :-( I look forward to her coming back in one piece. That being said I hope she has a great time and it will be a great experience for her as she has never been away from home before.

Gracie is still not sleeping much so I am tired pretty much most of the time. Darcey loves school but I do once again have a demanding school run trying to make it from one school to another in time. Joe is another story all together he has gone totally off the rails, although saying that I am hopeing that we have turned a corner as we have cracked down hard on him and he is improving, time will tell, don't you just love teenagers!!! Amber is doing ok, her blood sugars have been pretty stable, she has to go for flu jab this week, so not looking forward to that. Finally Carly is doing great as are the grandkids, plus her other half has a new job and things are looking good for them at present.

We have a new addition to the family she is a little kitten and her name is Suzy. She is lovely and so sweet. I have a picture of her but there will be many more trust me. I also have a picture of the 4 girls last sunday it is not often I get a good one of them all together.

Well this time my internet went down for 3 weeks and we have had to change company and have now gone for cable with Virgin Media so I am finally back on line.

I still have no pictures of Tegan yet but I do have a picture of a little angel dress I made her ages ago, which I put on Ravelry but never seemed to get around to putting on here.

I have at least 4 things on the needles at the mo, but just can't seem to get anything finished, mind you it is the school holidays so things are up in the air. I have also had Carly and her 3 to stay a couple of times which believe me takes a few days to recover from when she goes home, We had 3 adults and 8 kids in a 4 bed house, very crowded.lol

I feel I should have loads more to say as it has been so long since I have been on but the trouble is so much has happened it has all blurred, I know I have had Amber ill again, although this time no hospital visit. We have been doing a lot of shopping as without the internet I had to physically go out and buy stuff, that was no fun at all with 4 or 5 kids with me each time!!!!

Oh well, 3 are back to school next week then Darcey starts the week after which will leave only Gracie at home. Joe is in his last year which doesn't seem possible.

I shall now go and rescue the tv from Gracie who appears to be trying to push it off its stand, I hope to keep posting on here a bit more often now things are almost back to normal.xx

I am still around, I have had so much trouble getting on my blog I had just started thinking about starting a new one.
I have lovely news Carly had her baby on Friday 31st July a little girl, 7lb 130z and it was a lovely water birth. Her name is Tegan Suzanne.

Well this week has been so busy and I still have lots to do over the next two days so I just thought I would make a quick post.

I have finished a bib for Carly's new baby and she now has that and the Yoda cardigan I made.

I am still moving a head to get my spiritual life more together, my very good friend Lindsay and I have been doing discipleship together and that has been a real help I am learning so much and find myself wanting to learn even more.

Also my hubby who is not saved has been coming to church on a regular basis which is wonderful.

I have also found this really sad and beautiful song on Youtube about aborted babies wondering how their life would have been, it is very moving. I have added a link so anybody who isn't interested doesn't have to go and look at it.

Just a quick one, I actually have a finished item, it is the Yoda baby sweater to be found on Ravelry, I wouldn't normally have chosen this pattern but it was for a KAL in the Babylonglegs group on Ravelry. I think it actually turned out ok, I am going to give it to Carly for her baby which is due in July.

Well I still don't have any finished items, which is very bad of me. I have had a few revelations lately and have decided to make some big decisions in my life. My priorities in life have really slipped lately and I have been spending far too much time on things like facebook and twitter and not enough time on my family,don't get me wrong they haven't been neglected or anything, just not my priority.
So I have decided that the only online things I am going to keep going are my blog and of course Ravelry and everything else can just go.
I have also decide to get more in touch with my christian side I have been a Born Again Christian for a couple of years now, but It is only recently with certain events that I have seen how important that decision was and I want to start getting on with my life and living it as a Christian.
I hope anybody who reads this just for the knitting, doesn't mind me rambling on in this post but I don want to make this more of a life blog than just a knitting record.

I have had a rough week as Amber ended up in hospital on a drip, we have all had tummy bugs and as sometimes happens with her diabetes if she can't eat then we have to get some glucose in her somehow. I am so looking forward to next week and hopefully some normality or as near as it gets in this house.lol

I intend to get back to my knitting I have two items over half way finished which should soon be done, I have tons of projects waiting to go also,so hopefully should have some pictures to put on very soon. I also have quite a few books to read so shall be busy.

I have two finished cardigans to show off, one for Darcey and one for Gracie, Darcey's is the one I kept saying I was going to finish, but didn't seem to actually want to. It is from a sirdar booklet called Ohh La La and is knit in sirdars snuggly baby in Daisy and Navy, Gracies is also a sirdar pattern from a booklet called Sugar Kisses and this was knit with Babylonglegs Dk.

Kids were all off today due to the snow, which was fun I can tell you!! Haven't felt so great lately been feeling a bit under the weather and also a bit fed up to tell the truth, didn't get to church on sunday as me, jade and Gracie all have colds.
Also going to miss my weigh in at weight watchers tonight as it has been cancelled due to snow, although on my own scales I have now lost a stone in weight, I have been walking to and from school lately and this has definately helped.

It is Carly's 21st birthday tomorrow so providing the snow doesn't ruin our plans we are planning to meet up at Lakeside and spend the day together. I can't believe she is going to be 21 how did that happen.lol

Well firstly no knitting content in this post although I have two almost finished Items so it won't be long. Things have been busy as usual, I had a break from church for a while, had a few things to get my head around, but am back and loving it which is good.

Jade had a Tudor day at school so I took a couple of photos of her outfit probably not the most flattering thing she has ever worn.lol It is her birthday today she is 10 so one more into double figures!

I had also added a couple of pictures of my grandsons Harrison and Kadon, as Carly came round on Friday so took the opportunity to get a couple of shots.

Not a great deal happening I have joined Weight Watchers and tonight will be my second weigh in, I lost 6lb the first week which was a good start hopefully some more will come off tonight.

When I am not knitting I am either on Ravelry or Facebook both of which are far too addictive I have also discovered Twitter although at the moment I am not totally sure what I am doing with it.lol.

I have done another quick make in between all the projects I have half done, I have made a hat and mittens for Gracie as she had none that fit properly. I got these patterns from an old Simply Knitting mag and I added the flower and button to the hat to make it less borring. I actually had to make the 6-12 months hat to get a good fit and the mittens which were meant to be 0-3 months I actually halved the measurements to get them to fit. What is it with mittens they are always massive.lol

These are a couple of quick makes that I sneeked in between my other projects. The photos are not great as Gracie just wouldn't play ball.lol

I love the colour of this Peaches & Creme, it is called Mocha swirls and it reminds me of neopolitan ice cream. I will definately make more of both these the skirt is Caiden's skirt from Ravelry and the cap is a Sirdar pattern from a leaflet for Snuggly Aran hats.
I am well on my way with the frilly cardy but Amber's waistcoat is stalling some what!!
I was really fed up last week and didn't want to see or talk to anyone but I feel a lot better this week, I also had an ear infection last week as did Gracie, which we are both getting over gradually.
Hope to have some more finished pictures soon.

I actually finished this a little while ago, but haven't got round to posting it on here, I put it in my projects page on Ravelry though.

Not much happening around here, Hubby and Joe still boxing all the time, kids are going to and from school as usual although Darcey is off playschool today as she has a cold and a nasty cough. I am so tired all the time lately, Gracie wakes up about 5am everyday and I am not going to bed much before 1am so I know the reason,lol. I need to get an early night or two, just hate wasteing my ME time if you know what I mean.lol.

I am off on a school trip tomorrow with Amber's class, I am not really looking forward to it, but maybe I can get a nap on the coach.!!

I have amazingly done 90% of my christmas shopping and also my December birthday shopping, I have 3 kids birthdays in December. It was Harrison, my oldest daughters little boys birthday last saturday so he is 2 now, I can't believe I have a two year old grandson, surely I am too young (not).

This is what I am knitting at the moment I am doing it for Darcey and in yellow and navy, as I had those in my stash already, this is from a new pattern book by Sirdar called 'Ooh la la'. There are some really sweet pattern in this book and I expect I will do some more.

Another quick fix knit a little ruffle hat for Gracie. The pattern is Bernat Ruffle Hat which obviously I found on Ravelry.lol. The yarn is Babylonglegs Merino Double knit called LottieRu.
Not much going on round here, I am fed up but don't know why, must be the time of year!
I can't even seem to get on with my knitting which is bad, hence why I started the little hat, needed to actually finish something. My two wip are just floundering at the moment.
I am reading the new Dawn French book at the moment called Dear Fatty, and it is really good, it was an anniversary present which was last Friday. I also got the complete series 3 of Marple mysteries which is great as I hadn't seen 3 of the episodes.
Not much else to report just the usual borring stuff. I think I will try to do some knitting today.

The little cardigan is now finished.Yeah!! It actually looks quite good and I am pleased with it and thankfully Darcey likes it.

I have frogged two other things I had on the needles, one because I just wasn't happy with it and the other because I am sure the pattern is wrong.!!
I have now started a waistcoat with a furry collar for Amber, it is a sirdar pattern with cables and it is looking nice I am doing it in some Debbie Bliss merino aran I won on ebay a while ago, I will try to get a picture of the pattern for my next post. Jade also wants one, I haven't knit big sizes for a while so I shall definately be starting something for Gracie as well so I can keep getting a quick fix of a fast knit.lol.

Hubby's boxing club hosted a big show last night, so as I couldn't go I had a friend round and we had an indian takeaway and good chat, haven't done that for ages so it made a nice change. Joe boxed last night and he won which was good.

I shall now try and do a bit more knitting before they come back from Joe's football training.x

Well I have been really struggling with the little cardigan I am doing for Darcey, just one sleeve left and the collar but still it seems to be going soooo slow, so I have knitted a little hat for Gracie. It is from the Little Sweetpea's pattern I did a while ago from Sirdar the cardigan I did in green Snuggly but this I did in some pink I had in my stash. Hope you like it Gracie is such a happy baby.lol

Well the cardigan is finished and I am quite pleased with it. It was enjoyable to knit and very simple and straight forward. I also really like the colours. I have taken a few pictures of Gracie wearing it to try to show it off.

The girls have started their new school and really love it, I am walking them everyday and already last week I lost 5lb although boy am I tired at night.lol.

Well I managed to survive the holiday. Nobody seemed to be a knitter so the Ravelry bag went unnoticed.lol
I did hardly any knitting just the one face cloth which I will post but it didn't really go as well as it could as it probably would have looked better in a solid colour. Darcey likes it though so that is good.

I am also adding a photo of the next thing I am knitting I love this cardigan and have really looked forward to starting it.

I am knitting it in stylecraft Kon-Tiki which 50% cotton 50 acrylic and really lovely to work with so soft, I am using a turquoise and cream.

I have another FO to show you, I am quite impressed with myself I seem to be starting and finishing things.lol.
I love this, I wasn't too sure about the Peaches & Creme as it is quite harsh on the hands but I am pleased with how it looks and I think she will get a fair bit of wear out of it and it will be hard wearing. I love the colours.
Things are fairly quiet round here have to get a ton of ironing done ready to pack tomorrow, as you can see I am putting it off by coming on here.lol I have a lot of people to pack for!!!
I know need to decide what projects to take with me, I am determined to get some knitting done while away, I will just follow the kids round the camp and plonk myself down and knit.
I had a nice delivery this week I managed to get one of the elusive Ravelry tote bags, actually it is lovely and really big, great value for money even with the postage. Maybe someone will spot me next week and say hello.

I have finally finished the Twirly skirt I am actually very happy with it, it is a lovely pattern and looks good on. The colours turned out ok too, not so keen on the botton tier but can live with it.

I am now knitting Gracie the Mae Day sundress by Vicky Howell which I bought online via Ravelry, it is cute a little smocked top which I thought was going to be hard but so isn't. I am using Peaches & Creme, Rose Pink and Pink Lemonade, it is quite thick but I hope it will work as I think the dress would make a nice cold weather top over leggins and a long sleeved t shirt.

Well I have just finished this I am not over happy with it, made a silly little mistake made the arm holes too small so neck isn't quite right, but it looks reasonably ok on. Gracie wasn't the easiest of models but I think I managed to show it pretty well.lol. It is a Sirdar Pattern and should be knit in Baby Bamboo but I used Katia Jamaica, not sure about the way the colour worked out it almost looks like it is a mistake with lots of little odd bits of colour. Now I must finish the Twirly skirt I am doing for a KAL.

Other news, Joe didn't win his fight, to be honest the struggle with the weight didn't help and he wasn't as strong as normal, he had a good time though and gets an England top out of it.

The school holidays are now well under way, not too stressful!! We are away for a week soon to a caravan at Hopton, which is near Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth. So that should be fun just need to sort out my holiday knitting, (as if I will get time to knit.lol).

I have just finished my first dishcloth, although to tell the truth if it does get used I think It would be more as a flannel or face cloth if you prefer.lol.
I love peaches & creme but I am not sure dishcloths are for me I enjoy knitting them just not sure if I want them.
I have also add a picture of Joe this was the latest photo taken of him for a boxing magazine, he boxes for England this weekend in Cardiff so things are quite tense round here at the moment as he has to get his weight perfect for the bouts and there is nothing of him to start with.!!!

I finished Gracie's lacy cardigan a little while ago, no action shots I am afraid but here are the one's I put on Ravelry.

So busy with end of term I don't seem to have time to think. I am moving Jade and Amber to a new school from September as I am not happy with their present one so that has involved lots of meetings and paper work ect. Also the new school is quite a bit further away and my car is not working so I feel as if I have been walking miles lately.lol

Got a couple of things on the go, a Twirly Skirt, which is for a KAL on Ravelry in the Barefoot knits group, and also a face cloth, which I was thinking of giving as a present to a teacher, but that depends if I finish it before next Tuesday. I also still have about a quarter of a scarf done, in feather and fan pattern knitted in hipknits silk, I just can't seem to get the urge to finish that at present. We have a school fete on saturday and I am running a stall, so I will be busy for most of that day, and at mo I am too tired in the evening to knit as all I want to do is sleep!!!

Oh well such is life.LOL.

Darcey finally agreed to have some pictures taken last night, so I can now show my ruffle skirt, I took some pictures of her wearing the Monica as well as I plan for her to wear it as a whole outfit to a party at the weekend.

I am still plodding along with the little sundress, a cardigan and a lace scarf, but have also ear marked plenty more projects.

I received my Ravelry t shirt yesterday, I bought the disagree(1) as I felt I was more of a disagree than an agree lately.lol. Seriously though some of the posts do get a bit nasty. What I really want is a tote bag, apparantly they will be getting some more in soon.!

I REALLY MUST STOP BUYING YARN.!!!
I can't stress this strongly enough, I just can't seem to stop, I have way too much, I am going to start to starve the kids soon, as I will run out of money to buy food, ( that isn't strictly true, but I am spending way too much).

On a less worrying note I have finished Darcey's ruffle skirt, from Barefoot knits,(www.barefootknits.com) which is the best knitting book in the world, In my opinion. For some reason Darcey has decided to refuse to model it so for now I have no pictures as Proof.
I have started The Golden Rose sundress which I found on Ravelry which is lovely and the lace at the bottom is great. I am knitting it in Debbie Bliss Cotton/Cashmere, which is the wrong weight but it seems to be ok so far, time will tell.lol.

Amber had her yearly review at the diabetic clinic today so it was hospital all afternoon, which I hate, although we did get through it in record time, everything is so good, there is nothing for them to say really. We rock.lol

I made this bolero for Gracie as we had a christening to go to and I needed something to go with her outfit.
Had a hectic time last week out nearly everyday so I am hopeing for a quieter time this week, mind you it is Amber's birthday Wednesday so not totally quiet.lol.
I have two things on the go at the moment, a cardigan and matching hat for Gracie and a lace scarf for me, or if not me maybe a teachers present,depends on how it turns out.! I must add that when I say lace it is just a basic pattern actually the pattern is called Easy Lace Pattern, needless to say I found the pattern on Ravelry.

I have another finish, a little Monica top for Darcey, this is a free pattern from Knitty and I knitted it in Stylecraft Kon-Tiki I really love this yarn, I have put more details on Ravelry. I am mandymosey on there by the way.
I also have a couple of pictures of Gracie in her new toy, I think it was all a little too exciting for her.lol.

Have had a good day today, went to meet another Knitting blogger today, Kerrie from Hipknits, if I knew how to do a link it would be now that I would do it, we took the kids and had a lovely old time, didn't get any knitting done though so we will try to meet without the kids next time.lol.

I have finished a hat for Darcey now the same as Gracie's, pictures to come, talking of pictures I arrived at playschool this morning to discover that It was photo day,!! of course Darcey looks like a scruff bag who needs a hair cut, and I am the stupid mummy who forgot it was photo day today.lol. Also I had originally intended to have Gracie done as well ,but couldn't stop as I had to get Amber to a doctors appointment straight after. The doctor proceeded to tell me off for using cotton wool buds for cleaning Ambers ears, apparently ears are self cleaning (who knew!). I asked what ear buds were for then but she didn't say.

I then took Amber back to school, which means I have wasted the only time I get a little bit of knitting time during the day, i.e when Darcey is at playschool. Then to top it all off it has decided to rain today and my dad who usually picks Darcey up for me, is not coming round till late so I have to drag Gracie back out in the rain.

I have just read this back and I sound a real whinger, I am not really honest.lol.

I have to get some more knitting done, I seem to think about it more than do it these day, if that makes sense, I am ever looking at it in books or on the net when really I should be physically knitting something, maybe I will go and do that now aye!

Knitted this last night for Gracie as she needed something for the sunny weather to keep the sun of her little head. I love it, it is knit in Peaches & Creme, colour strawberry cream, bought from Crafty Cottage. I used a pattern from the book Rainbow Knits for Kids by Cheryl Potter, it was the sweetheart sweater and hat set, but I changed it slightly to make it more of a snug fit.

Well things are settling back down to normal here, or as normal as it does get!
Carly is getting used to having two babies to care for,needless to say I have had many phone calls.
I have been buying lots of yarn and books and patterns lately, but I can't seem to get round to photographing any of them, I had thought I may do some this weekend as it is a bank holdiay weekend, but I was at a child protection course at church this morning, Les's niece is coming round tomorrow with her boyfriend to visit, and then Les's sister and her husband are coming over monday, so I doubt it will happen.

I have started knitting a lovely cardigan for Darcey, this is the 4th thing I have started in as many weeks, all the others have been frogged, just didn't like the yarn or the pattern, I have been very indecisive lately, maybe its my age. The cardigan is a sirdar pattern I am knitting the short sleeved version, I intend to to do one for Jade and Amber as well they don't do it in Gracie's size. I am knitting it in some lovely double knit 50% Alpaca 50% Merino which I bought from Babylonglegs etsy shop in the colourway Gothika. It is knitting up lovely and the yarn is very soft.

I think part of the not being able to decide what to knit next is the fact that I have so many things in the knitting queue that I can't seem to get around to doing any of them I don't know if anyone understands that or if it makes sense at all.lol
I will probably start something for Gracie next as I have seen a nice cardigan just need to choose which yarn, I also have the yarn to knit the girls the little dress/top in the latest edition of Simply knitting magazine.

I shall end by adding a photo of Gracie and my friends little baby Hallie, who is 10 weeks younger than Gracie, the photo is a bit blurred but still sweet.

Well I now have grandson no 2, Kadon James was born on Saturday 26th April at 8.05am weighing 7lb 15oz and mum and baby are doing fine. I will hopefully now be able to get back to some knitting as I have been on tender hooks waiting for this little one to arrive.

I have a couple of pictures to add. Gracies finished bolero is all done. I used Krafty Kola organic aran called candyfloss, and funky fur called marshmallow. The original pattern also had a ribbon tie at the front but I prefered it without. Also a couple of pics of Gracie wearing the bolero and Darcey. I have also included a very strange picture of me I am not sure what I was doing, but I thought I would put it on anyway. Its a good job I am not vain.LOL.

Just a quick update actually got some computer time, today is my 42nd birthday although don't know why I am announcing it.lol.
Joe won his fight and now has a place on the England squad so all being well it is 2012 here we come.:-)

Have done some knitting, knitted a funky fur jacket for a friend who had a baby on March 2nd actually started knitting it that day and took it round to her a week later. I have also been cross stitching again. I must get some pictures on here as I have also bought tons of yarn, but as usual the batteries for the camera have run out and nobody remembers to get any when there out.

Well thats about it for now I shall now go and eat lots of chocolate.

Finished this jacket this morning. The borders are in double moss stitch. I am pleased with it, if you are a yarn snob please don't read this next bit, I mixed Eskimo with a handdyed BFL that I bought on ebay. I know this is probably not everybody's cup of tea, but I like both fun fur and handdyed yarns, so why shouldn't I mix them.lol. I have also added it to my Ravelry projects page as well.

Well I seem to have been busy busy as usual, but actually never seem to get anything done.!! I did manage to get myself and the girls a haircut this week which was well over due, so that is something.

This is a very bad photo of Darcey in her jacket I made It was made a while ago now, the colour of this photo is awful, the yarn is Colinette Skye which is an aran. I will try and get another picture in day light as this one doesn't do it justice.Also please ignore Darcey's hair as this was taken the day before she had it all cut off into a little cute bob.
I have also got a lovely little hoodie to show but the photo I took of that is so awful I couldn't even use it.lol. I am now knitting another jacket/cardigan for Gracie.
I am very tired at the moment as I only seem to get about 3 to 4 hours sleep a night, and I don't like to go up early to get a few extra hours because that is the only real time I get to knit these days, all I ever seem to do is washing I have 3 to 4 loads a day, and I won't even mention the ironing.
My patience levels are vey low at present.
On a happier note we have had another birthday to celebrate, Jade was 9 on the 19th of January and Carly will be 20 on the 3rd of Feb. I am going to meet up with Carly on the Monday and go shopping for the day, which will be nice, but also if I know her expensive for me.lol.
Well thats if for now, the girls are shouting and I may have to go and kill one of them.(only joking).

Here are a couple of photos of Gracie, she is wearing the little trousers I made her, I think I may make some more as they actually fit her quite nicely.
I am knitting a cardigan for myself at the moment, I haven't knitted anything adult size for years, although in fairness it is in denim ultra on 8 and 10mm needles so is knitting up quite quickly.
Everyone is back to school this week so things are gradually getting back into a routine. I have decided to cut back on some of my outside activities this year as I want to spend as much time as I can with Gracie and Darcey, as they are the last two babies I am going to have, I can not go through being pregnant again, so will be making sure I can't have anymore. I haven't decided what has to go yet, but something does.lol.
Anyway I hope it doesn't get too borring around here as I see a lot of baby pictures being posted.

Just a quick update, Gracie Louisa Diane, was born on December 22nd at 2.15.am. I haven't got much time but it was a very eventful birth and I ended up delivering her breech, a foot presentation to be exact.!!!! Certainly an experience. Well I am still around and haven't had the baby yet, I am almost 37 weeks and at the moment the baby is in the right position but head hasn't engaged yet. I am so fat and fed up it is untrue, I can hardly walk and everything hurts, oh isn't it fun having a baby.lol.
Joe and Darcey's birthdays both went well, just low key,I am not up to much else, I had to struggle through two meals out, which normally I love, but I couldn't really appreciate this time.
I have actually done a lot of knitting, but taken no photos, I have finished a little hoodie with patons whisper and dk for the new baby, plus a jacket for Darcey, and a scarf for Carly I am now knitting a scarf for Harrison my grandson, I am not sure If I mentioned that Carly is expecting another baby in April and it is to be another boy. I just can't escape baby knitting can I.
Well not doing much else it is just a waiting game, I just hope I don't go full time or over for the first time ever as I think I will explode, as my actual due date is January 9th.

Firstly I have finished 2 pairs of mittens, one hat and a jacket for Darcey, but no pics yet.
I am a bit fed up today, went to see the consultant today and it turns out the baby is in a transverse position, which basically means sidewise this apparantly is not good if it stays this way as it is hard to deliver a baby sideways.lol.
I have to go back in two weeks for more scans and checks, the thing that is worrying me is they said it can be dangerous for me to go in to labour, but I have my babies early 37 or 38 weeks as a rule, and very quickly 20 mins for Darcey, about an hour all the rest, and when I go back I will be 36 weeks. I am asssuming when I go back if it hasn't moved they may suggest a c section. Oh well, I thought that it was all going too easy.
To top it all my blood pressure had gone up as well, This is definately the last one, I am too old for all this.
I also have Joe and Darcey's birthdays in December, I actually go for the scan on Darcey's birthday, so as you can imagine things are a bit manic round here and something is telling me I probably need to rest.lol. It really is times like this that it hit homes how much you miss having your mum around just to look after you, even at my age, I really miss her right now.
Hope I haven't depressed anyone, I am sure I will cope I always do.lol.

I have actually done quite a bit of knitting just not taken any photo's at present. I have finished a hat and jacket for the new baby, and I am also almost finished with a jacket for Darcey it is one I have knitted before called Smitten. I will photo them and detail the yarn ect very soon.
The pregnancy is still plodding along I am finding it very tiring I have a big bump already I am not sure if I will be able to carry on walking around for another 11 or 12 weeks.LOL.
Life is still busy I had intended to give up a few of my responsibilities outside the home, but as ever that hasn't happened as there is never anybody else to take your place.
Joe has had two boxing bouts recently and won them both, he's still doing really well with his boxing and has now won 7 out of 8 fights and the only one he lost was the championships final last year. Hubby and I don't seem to ever be indoors at the same time if he is in I am at a meeting somewhere and If I am in he is out somewhere connected with boxing. Can't decide if this is a good thing or bad.lol.
Darcey is well settled in Playschool now she loves it and I am looking forward to after Christmas when she can go 3 times a week she still doesn't sleep at night, something else which doesn't go particularly well with pregnancy insomnia.
I have still been adding to my stash, although I really do need to stop as there is no more room, but when has that stopped a knitter.!! I am also still addicted to buying patterns which I know I will never ever knit but I love looking at them and dreaming, sad or what.
I have to help out at school this morning with swimming lessons, I know I just said I am trying to cut down, but the problem is Amber, because of her diabetes I like to help out with her class as much as possible, I thing I will have to give it up next month though as getting on and off the coach and bending down to help with wet socks is killing me, anyway I have to leave soon so I am going to try and have a quick rest before I go, hopefully I will have some photos next time as I know picture less blogs can be real boring.

Right well I have done some knitting, I have knitted a hat and mittens for a baby shower being held at church tonight, I have never been to a babyshower as it isn't really something that is done in the UK, although I believe it is starting to catch on. I knitted them in white double knit as Sue who is expecting doesn't want to know the sex of the baby.

Mind you I say I am going I hope to be, but I have been having a few probs with blurred vision and spots before the eyes, so I am waiting for a midwife to turn up and check my blood pressure. I must admit I am finding this pregnancy a lot harder no real problems as such, I just feel physically drained all the time, I know the obvious reasons, I am older, overweight and I still have the other kids to deal with. I think I may be going through the old hormone stage as well as I feel very down and miserable, certainly not depressed though, just fed up!!

On a brighter note Amber has settled well in Junior school, and they are coping well with her diabetes, also Darcey has started playschool and she loves it from day one she just went in and doesn't want to come out.lol.

Yesteday was Hubby's 40th but we really didn't do anything about it,He is also very down at the moment as he is snowed under with work and also organising a boxing show so we have decided to postpone celebrating until a later date.

I am still quite busy, but have decided I may have to give up a few governor duties at the schools for the time being as I just can't seem to keep up with it all just getting to and from school wears me out.

I am knitting a little jacket and hat for the new baby at the moment, and also a jumper for Darcey, I find I keep jumping from project to project at the moment, something else to blame the hormones for.

Right a couple of pictures, the girls are shown at our holiday home, I didn't actually take that many pictures as it was a very restful holiday and we didn't really do a lot. I also include some pictures of the hats I made on holiday, I have also made another since but have already given it to my friend Lindsay for her baby Esther.

On the pregnancy front things are going pretty well I had my second scan on wednesday and everything is fine, we also discovered it is to be another girl!!
Not that I mind too much I have so much wool in girl colours it will save me a fortune. Hubby was a bit disappointed but he is getting used to the idea gradually. I can't believe I will have five daughters and one son!!!!
Well thats all for now, back to school next week so things will change around here again.

Well I am now feeling slightly better, haven't been sick for about 3 days, although I am still very tired, mind you it is the end of term so endless sports days, leaving assemblies and Governor meetings to attend and all of that doesn't include all the things that have been going on at Church.lol.

I am pleased to report that I actually picked up my needles for the first time yesterday, I have started a bolero for Darcey I have made a couple of these before, I thought I would start something quick and simple at first. No pictures at the moment I am just pleased to feel up to posting and knitting.

This is a very quick update, just in case anybody still reads my blog, I am OK, still feeling very sick and tired hence not writing or doing anything except existing. I have my 13 weeks scan this coming Monday which is a nice milestone to check all is OK.
I haven't knitted since I became pregnant just feel too ill!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully things will change soon, I have started thinking about knitting again, so it must be a good sign.

I haven't posted for a while for two reasons really I have been very busy, my new church has a lot going on and I have been to a ladies evening, mums evening, prayer group, coffee morning, bible classes. I have also been busy at the schools making governor visits and going to meetings.
The other reason is I have felt very sick and if you scroll to the bottom of my blog and see the ticker there you will see that I am pregnant again!!!!! It is still early days, but I thought I would post about it anyway. Yes it was a suprise, I was sure I was too OLD.

On the knitting front I have finished Jades boleo, and almost done Amber's but to be honest I feel sick 24/7 so I haven't really had the strength or will to do much knitting.

Well I have to go now as dinner is burning, and for a change I feel sick.LOL.

I have had a really busy week, firstly last Sunday I went to a new church, took Jade and Amber along and we had a really good time, The church is literally a five minute walk from my house, the girls had been going Girls Brigade there for a while but I never chose to go to it as it seemed a bit dull and lifeless, anyway I was wrong it is great I also went to a bible class wednesday night which was also really good. They have a mother and toddler club just started up as well so things are looking very promising I think I have found my new place of worship.

On Thursday I went on a school trip with Ambers school, we went to St Pauls Cathedral in London and the London Fire brigade museum, both of which were great but the whole thing was so tireing I still feel exhausted. It is a good job Monday is a bank holiday.lol

I have nearly finished the little bolero for Jade.

I also have some other news,a bit shocking actually, but I feels its a bit early to say too much just yet. I am hoping to finish Jade's top over the next couple of days a get a picture on.

Right the time has come for a bit of an update, I have been doing some knitting!! and also some photos have been taken.
I have finished a jumper with a roll neck in Tufty for Jade, I wasn't too sure about it as I was knitting it but I think it actually turned out quite well. I also have 4 projects on the go, the pictures as ever will be in any order.lol. There are pics of the patterns I am knitting,I am doing the little cardigan with the roll around the bottom in Jaeger Baby Merino double knit, also for Darcey I am doing a little cardigan in 4ply cotton, for that I am using elle splish splash, 100% cotton, for Jade and Amber I am knitting the little boleros from the Sirdar soft cotton book, but I am using Debbie Bliss cotton Cashmere for one and RYC luxury cotton double knit for the other, both of which are lovely to use.
There is also a picture of the 3 little uns as they won't let me take a picture without having one of all of them.

Just a quick update really, nothing much has happened , I have been sooo ill, I thought my cold and cough had cleared up but they actually have got worse, I feel like I am under a fog all the time, fortunately hubby has this week off so he has helped out a lot. I know I am feeling really rough as I haven't even wanted to knit!!!!

With those words being said I obviously haven't done much knitting, I have started a hooded jacket for Darcey with Jaeger baby wool, which is coming along OK. I am still going through a stage where I can't seem to decide what to knit next. When I first used to knit a lot in my twenties I did fair isle, lace patterns the lot, but now I feel too nervous to attempt anything out of my comfort zone, maybe it's my age.lol.

Easter is almost upon us, I can't believe how fast this year is going.
Just before the holidays broke up I found out that the Headteacher at the junior school my children use, and one which I am also a Parent Governor at, is leaving this has caused me to think deeply about whether I still want my children to attend this school, I have decided that a smaller Church School would be far better, especially with Amber and her diabetes. The school Amber is at now, is great but unfortunately is an Infant school only, so I am now having to look around at other schools, I have found one just outside my hometown, so I will take a look at it after the Easter holidays, I have already spoke to the head there and there MAY be spaces for my girls. This feels like a real big decision and I just wanted to write it all down. I hope I just make the right decision.

Right I have a few pictures to post, I did manage to finish Amber's red bolero, but didn't take any picture! I have finished a pair of trousers for Darcey and only have a sleeve left of Jades jumper. I have had a bad cold for the last week and yesterday was the first day I actually felt ok.
The other pictures are of Amber on the Great Fire of London day they all had to dress up as if they were from the 17th century I think She looks cute.lol.
I am finding it really hard to decide what to knit next, I have enjoyed knitting two things at once, I supose I should be thinking of spring or summer items now as the weather should be changing soon. I think I will have to go through the stash and patterns and see what I can come up with, I fancy doing something in 4ply cotton as I have quite a bit of that, we shall see.
I am so looking forward to the next two weeks Easter holidays, no rushing around,pure bliss!!

Well today is my birthday, and I have £150 and I am so going to spend it on wool or yarn I don't care what you call it.!!

I am actually quite stressed as far as knitting goes as Amber has to wear red to school on Friday, as it is Comic Relief day, so I decided that as she doesn't actually have anything decent to wear in red I would knit her a little bolero in red Eskimo wool, I decided this last thursday thinking a week and one day would be plenty of time, but as is typical I can't seem to knit without making mistakes I have redone one front and one sleeve already I have a sleeve and a front left, and I seem to need to be out everyday and evening, and so on a day when I should be able to do as I please and enjoy myself I have to knit like a lunatic to get the thing finished.lol. Oh well, it could be worse at least I HAVE to knit.

Not much else happening, I had a meeting at Ambers school to discuss the future of schools and how they are run for a big research project going on at Cambridge University, the website is www.primaryreview.org.uk it is very important and could affect how schools are run and children are taught in the future,and can you believe it I was the only parent that turned up, so it was just the Headteacher and myself discussing the future of Education.!!! I really do wonder what some parents think, do they not want any responsibility for their kids education or what!!

Just a quick update, nothing much has happened here in truth. I have ground to a halt with all my knitting, the pink baby blanket turned into a nightmare, I didn't notice,( don't ask how!!), that I had dropped about 10 stitches at the end of one row so about 6 rows later I realised what had happened and that fur stuff is impossible to pick up once you drop it, so I have thrown it in a bag for now.

I am not feeling too good today, head and neck ache so I am not doing a great deal was going to meet Carly today but I have taken a rain check until I feel a bit better.

I have had 3 school governor meetings this week and I haven't seemed to have a moment to myself, Hubby and Joe are off to a boxing show tonight so hopefully I will be able to sit and knit once all the girls are in bed. I can dream, can't I?

I saw these two pictures on other blogs and I thought they were lovely , so that is the only reason they are on here . I love paintings like these they make me feel all emotional although I don't really know why.

I am very busy knitting at the moment I have three things on the go , a funky fur pink baby blanket, which I started a while ago, for a friend of Carly's, I am spending the day with Carly friday so I would like it to have it finished by then, we shall see!, next I am knitting a jumper for Jade in Tufty I have done the back and one sleeve and lastly another pair of trousers for Darcey, I have replaced the plume this time for Wendy Cosmic, I apologise to any yarn snobs who may have passed by but they will look lovely and will last my washing process.lol.

Not much else happening at the moment, Joe has a football trial with Southend United on Saturday which should be interesting. Oh and also he has got himself a paper round and so far he has been doing really well getting up at 6am every morning so far without complaining.

Hi, here are a couple of snow pictures from last Thursday when school was cancelled due to snow stopping the teachers getting to school, the kids weren't too upset. Don't ask me why Jade has her hat perched on the top her head like that she looks really weird.

I have finished Amber's cardigan, just need to put the buttons on and take some pics and have also started a jumper for Jade in Tufty.

I am surviving the school holidays so far, all went to dentist today for check and everybody was fine and no work needed doing for anyone. I have been buying yarn on ebay like nobody's business, I think I seriously have an addiction, maybe I should join some sort of support group.

I am also going through a stage of wanting another baby, and that is possibly more serious than the yarn problem.LOL.

Well I took some lovely pictures, or so I thought, of Darcey wearing the trouser suit but it turns out I took video's instead, and I have no idea how to load them on here, so I shall have to try again.

Had a busy time as usual last friday I met up with Carly in Grays, as it was her birthday on Saturday, she was 19, that was a nice day, had lunch and spent money on her which she loves. The baby Harrison is such an angel, none of mine have ever been that good! I took some pic's of him on my phone, but I can't work out how to load them on to the computer!! My relationship with Carly has always been a strange one, she tends to only contact me when she wants something, but I will say she is a fantastic mum and it doing a great job and coping so well with Harrison.

I have signed up for an evening class starting in April, it is called textiles, or something like that, but basically it is dressmaking for beginners. I did it at school and was quite good passed my exam and everything.lol. But I haven't done any since and I would love to make the girls some pretty party frocks, so I thought I would give it a go, it is for 10 weeks, and it is at my old senior school, so it will also be nostalgic. I am really looking forward to that and hopefully I will have some things to show on here.

Ambers diabetes has been up and down lately, I have upped her insulin as she has definately grown and hopefully that will calm things down again.
Not a lot happening with the other kids, just the usual household drama's.

I am in my final couple of weeks of looking after my friends little boy, so I have to go and pick him up from playschool soon. It is half term next week so should get more knitting time and not constantly have to shoot here and there.

Right well no knitting photo's as yet, but a couple of others one is the snow outside our bedroom window, which is really quite sad as there isn't much at all, then a couple of pictures of Darcey, trying to be a fairy, but I am not sure she is pulling it off.

Have done a fair bit of Darcey's set, hope to finish this weekend. I have discovered I am addicted to buying knitting patterns, I am definately buying ones now that I know I will never use, oh well it is slightly cheaper than yarn!

Had a bad morning Jade has swimming lessons on a friday and she hates it so we had tears and tantrums and then Joe decided he couldn't get out of bed, I thought I was never going to get out the door, but finally we did and then when we get to Amber's school I realise I had forgotten it was wear Trainers to school day, Oh well she wasn't the only one in shoes so I didn't feel so bad.LOL.

I have just done loads of washing, as usual, so I think I might have a quick knit, I shall ignore the ironing, hoovering and dusting, as usual!

Another pretty ok weekend and week, It was Jades's 8th birthday on Friday, so I let her stay home which is really unlike me, but she had swimming that day and she really hates it and I feel it is so mean to make someone do something they really hate on their birthday. On Saturday hubby me and the kids all went to Lakeside shopping centre for Jade to spend her birthday money all £130, we also had to get Joe a new pair of School shoes which was the only reason he came out with us all. Jade had a great time and as her birthday treat meal she chose Macdonalds, of all the places she could have chosen!! Oh well, it was what she wanted. For some reason I never seem to remember my camera lately so still no pics.
Knitting is going ok I have finished the back of the jumper which matches the bottoms I have already made for Darcey, I am actually really pleased with them I know they are pretty basic but I had to make a few changes to the pattern to get them the correct size so I am pretty pleased they turned out ok.
I have just been surfing the net for free cross stitch patterns for the kids to use in my class at the school and I found some great ones on www.bevscountrycottage.com
she also has some good knitting patterns as well.
Anyway thats it for now, I see I didn't get many comments again, so I can only assume the people are coming to this blog by accident.LOL.

I actually had quite a good weekend, Saturday I knitted most of the day, in between doing the general jobs around the house that have to be done every day, and it was nice I really enjoyed myself I am knitting a top and trousers set for Darcey and I got all of the trousers knitted and sunday night I started on the top, wouldn't it be great If everyday was like that. It was actually the anniversary of my mum's death on sunday so really it should have been a bad weekend, but that was why I chose to do something I really enjoyed rather than just getting on with borring old life, sort of as a tribute saying I am going to make the most of today, I don't know if that makes sense, it does to me!

I have noticed on other blogs that last week was delurking week, I didn't bother putting a notice up as I don't think I get many readers anyway, but If by any chance anyone does read this I would love for them to say hello, it is so sad getting 0 comments all the time.LOL.

I have been very poor with the photo's I have a new phone also now, an LG chocolate pink, which I love, I am hoping to work out how to get pictures on here from there as well, but as they say, don't hold your breath?

Well its 2007 but to tell the truth I don't feel any of that get up and go that usually comes with a new year and all the rest of it. I just can't seem to get myself motivated about anything. I am really missing my mum at the moment, I had been told by people it gets worse not better, and I think they may have been right it will be 4 years on January 14th since she died. I know there is no cure for how you feel when someone you really need and love die's but just at the moment it seems extra tough to deal with.

Anyway enough of the depressing stuff I have no pictures to show but should have soon, I am also finding it hard to choose what projects to do, but I will get myself organised soon. Hubby gave me money for christmas so I bought a knitting bag and needle roll in John Lewis at Bluewater on New Years Day, and also a couple of patterns, ( as if I didn't have enough). I have also ordered some odd balls of yarn here and there off of internet sellers, which I will show when they arrive.

Not much else to report, the kids all went back to school this week so things are begining to return to normal. I am going to be a Governor at Ambers school as well now so that should bring some interesting stuff my way. I am also only looking after my friends little boy until Feb then I want to do something!! Maybe some studying or Charity work, we shall see.

Well christmas came and went. The weekend before christmas I had Harrison over night for Carly which was lovely. Typically I didn't take any pictures! Joe has done really well with his boxing and ended up in the final of the Golden Gloves competion the final ended up being on his birthday as well, sadly he didn't win but he has done so well to get that far, we are very proud. I have added a photo taken of him at the gym and also one he has put on his MSN account which he thinks is cool.

Haven't done much knitting as I got a few books for christmas and two of them are the Diagnosis Murder books, for anyone who doesn't know they are based on the tv series featuring Dick Van Dyke, which I have a unhealthy obsession with! Anyway I love these books and once I start reading them I read them from start to finish and usually in one day. I have knitted another pair of mittens though and I am just starting the hat to match for Harrison, they are in Jaeger baby soft in a lovely Dark/royal Blue, very soft. I have finished the yellow scarf for Amber, but haven't touched the blanket or dress yet, have to admit I feel a new project coming on.
I am now starting to think about the new year and any changes I want to make, there could be some big ones coming, just need to decide where I want to go with my life. As the saying goes 'Watch this space'.

Well I finally have some photos to show as usual I will just load them up and see where they appear. There are 3 works in progress, I finished item and some kiddie pictures thrown in for fun. I have also knitted two sets of mittens and two hats for Harrison, but Carly got them before I had a chance to take a picture, hopefully will get some of him wearing them soon.

Hi Just wanted to say I am still alive. Just busy as ever. I have a couple of finished items to show and also a couple of newly started ones as well, hopefully I will get some photos done, I was going to take some now, but then I remembered that Darcey is asleep in her room and the finished items are hanging in her wardrobe and there is no way I am risking waking her up by going in there I need my Darcey sleep time!!

Things are plodding away here, I have been going back to church regularly again, which has been great, I went through a stage where I was really struggling , being the only Christian in my family, but I felt the urge to go back too strong and I am glad I did everybody was lovely and so welcoming and I have started going to a caregroup again which is really helping.

Carly is doing well, she has been a bit worried as Harrison hasn't been feeding as well as he should, but she it going to speak to her Health Visitor today, I wish I lived nearer or that I had more time to just go round and help, but that is the trouble with her having a lot of younger siblings, Nan is too busy being Mum!!
I might try and get there at the weekend though which will be lovely.

Anyway I just wanted to do a quick update as I hate not posting, hardly anybody reads my blog as it is I wouldn't want to risk losing any new reader's.LOL.

Well I have had a really hectic and exciting couple of days , on Tuesday Carly went into labour and by 6 in the evening we went to the hospital and eventually at 25 past midnight Carly gave birth to a lovely baby boy, his name is Harrison and he weighed 8lb 40z. I took a couple of pictures but they aren't very good this is the best although I don't think Carly would be too happy about me using this one.
Then on wednesday I spent all day at The Science Museum in London with Amber for her school trip. Then today I picked up Carly and Dan from the hospital and took the three of them back to their place. So I am so tired and I haven't had a chance to do any knitting!!!
It will nice be for things to settle down a bit now, as I felt so stressed waiting for a phone call all the time to say she needed me to get up the hospital at least I can relax a bit.

It is Carly's due date today but at the present it looks like it could be a late baby.
I have received the Kokobino order and they are fantastic I can't wait to get started and take some photos, I also have some work in progress to show on the Smitten jacket, the Llamajama wool is knitting up in a very interesting pattern,not what I expected but nice all the same.
Not much going on round here you may have noticed I have slightly changed my blog just added some info about being a Christian, I haven't really said much about that part of my life on here but I have decided as it is such an important part of who I am I should mention it.

Well I got a lovely parcel yesterday from llamajama.com, I chose the green and lavender and lavender on its own for the cardigan pattern I bought off The Garter belt designer Marie Grace Yarn Slayer. If you look on the site the pattern can also be bought from them. I can't take any pictures at the moment as we have no batteries.
I have also placed an order with another company they are called kokobino.com I read about them in the new Simply Knitting magazine I have placed an order for the pink dress and the A line Cardigan. I am a tiny bit concerned though as I placed the order wednesday and I received the original order email, but nothing since and the order hasn't been processed yet according to my account information on the website. Hopefully it will all be ok as it certainly wasn't a cheap purchase.
I have also knitted a little baby hat for Carly in Debbie Bliss cashmerino DK in pale blue, I think I may have already mentioned that , I am now trying to get a body warmer in Sirdar Foxy done for Jade as quick as poss she really wants to wear it and I really want to get on to using up some of my lovely new wool.

Here are just a few pictures, I will hopefully give some more information about the purchases and what will happen to them at a later date. I really love the Cherry Tree Hill yarn, which is so so soft. The other two large piles of hanks are from Colinette. I bought 4 balls of the James Brett, and the two packs of ten were all half price so had to get them. I also have a book and a finished item to show off but haven't got time to post them yet, so here are a few, badly taken, pics.

Had a really fantastic day at Knit and Stitch at Alley Palley, I bought loads!!! I have yet to take pictures but don't worry they will be here soon. I decided to try and buy a few more expensive pure wool purchases which I did, I dread to think what I will do with real wool clothes for the kids and washing them !!!! That being said I have to conceed they are the softest most beautiful yarn I have ever held.
Another thing to come out of the day was I discovered my friend also has a yarn habit, and boy did she add to it, I always assumed that as this was a show knitters would go to everyone would have tons of stash, but they didn't people actually stopped and stared and I even found myself uttering the words 'it's not all mine.' Anyway I don't have a lot of time at the moment, so I shall leave things there but I will definately be showing some lovely yarn on here very soon.

Time for a bit of a update, I am putting a picture of Darcey's little dress I finished, a picture of 3 books I ordered from Tesco Extra which came yesterday and a photo of Darcey, just because I think she looks cute, and finally a picture of my son Joe at his boxing club Joe is on the left in the front row with black top and red shorts, hubby took these to put on his new website which is www.boxingcorner.co.uk. I am still useless at placing my photos which is why I have told you which photos are which they could appear in any order!!!

I would just like to add that I can't wait until Sunday and ALLY PALLY, I am so excited, my poor friend who has agreed to come with me dosen't know what she is letting herself in for.
Other news is that Carly has a scan today as they think the baby may be breech, I hope it isn't but should know by this afternoon, what the situation is.
I think I may have mentioned I ordered a pattern from Garter belt, well I couldn't find a suitable subsitute yarn over here so I have contacted the compay who supplied the designers yarn they are called Lamajama, and they will sell to the UK the only trouble is it will cost me about £60 to £70 our money and I am not sure I can justify spending that kind of money, it is just so lovely though, plus I have to get through Sunday, and I will most likely spend a bit of money there!! Oh the dilema of it all.

Well things are plodding along around here, I have finished the cotton dress from Simply Knitting and I am 90% happy with it. It has come up a lot bigger than I thought it would be, but that does tend to happen to me, and I have to confess I don't do a swatch I just assume that whatever I knit it will come out bigger than it should be!!
I did enjoy knitting with the cotton though it is so lovely and soft I will definately use it again.

I was going to take some pictures but it is a bit too dark now and Darcey is also in bed so I shall take some tomorrow of her wearing it. I have now started knitting a little hoody for Darcey I have almost finished the back.

This is just a brief update hopefully there will be more pictures tomorrow and more interesting stuff to read, not that many people seem to read anything I write, I sometimes wonder if it because I don't do sophisticated knitting like a lot of other people, I hope not, as I am still learning and I can't really afford really expensive yarns. I have to admit that I will quite often play it safe with my knitting, but I do enjoy it so I supose that counts for a lot.

I have just got a new pattern from The garter belt site, I had hoped to put a link in there but I can't find the address at present, it is a lovely autumn jacket for girls aged 2 to 12. I am really looking forward to knitting that one and I am going to think hard about what yarns to use, I may try to get something at Ally Pally later this month. That is a day out I am really looking forward to, a whole day away from the kids just pleasing myself, I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Well at last I have some photos of two finished items. I have also thrown in a couple of pics of Joe and Darcey, actually you can also see the rougues gallery in the background of a few more family members. I am also going to get some pics of the kids wearing their knits soon. I have been so busy around here that I just haven't had time to get on the computer. I hope the pictures show the cardy and top off ok I am so useless with the camera I just aim and snap.

I am well on my way with the little dress from simply knitting, I haven't knitted with cotton like this before it is sirdar luxury and it is so soft and lovely. I also have two more tops to start that the girls picked out this morning.

I don't really like posting without a photo, but as I don't have one available at the moment I will have to do just that. Had a busy day today, spent it with my eldest out buying baby stuff ready for her new arrival. It was actually a really nice day, just a bit manic.
On the knitting front I have almost finished the cardigan I started for Darcey, I have given up on the cotton one, it won't fit if I leave it and I just can't face 4ply at the minute, just too damn slow!!! I received the cotton I ordered to do the little dress in Simply Knitting, that will definately have to be started soon or she will be too big before I start. We are going to a family barbecue and I was hopeing to have something knitted for each of the younger ones to wear, I have the lilac cardigan for Amber and the tufty top for Jade, although I am not sure if that will be suitable for a september BBQ, I was hopeing to have the dress done for Darcey, the BBQ is on the 30th September so I could, in theory,have enough time to get it done.
Everyone is back at school now, so it is slightly less hectic during the day, so I maybe able to do some serious knitting, the thing is round here it is always dodgy to make plans as things have a nasty habit of changing dramatically at the last minute.LOL.

The first of the tribe went back to school today, it was Jade and it is her first day at Junior school, she is so looking forward to going. She loves school, always has done, she has wanted to go back since the holidays started.
I have finished her top and I am knitting a cardy for Darcey, I have also ordered some wool for a dress in simply knitting mag for Darcey. I also got a set of 4 Addi turbos off ebay at a good price. Life is good!!!
Actually that isn't totally true as I feel a bit down at the moment, this happens from time to time, I really miss my mum, I will be fine though once I get back into routine. Anyway I shall be going now and do some ironing.(Aren't I lucky).

Right well I have finished Ambers bolero, It is ok, she loves it but to tell the truth my picking up of stitches is poor and I need a lot more practice I ended up with too few stitches and it is pulling a bit tight. I have also included a photo of Carly's baby blanket which Amber is also modeling!! there is also a picture of me with blanket, Amber took it so I had to promise to put it on here!!!
I have also knitted a little top in Tufty wool for Jade but I have to finish sewing that up today. I have started a cardigan for Darcey funky fur and DK. I have decided my skills are not up to anything more adventurous at the moment, this was my first picot stitch,and I have just realised I have been doing yfw wrong all this time.LOL.

I had been thinking about not bothering posting anymore as my knitting is pretty basic but then I thought about it and really it doesn't really matter how ambitious you are with your knitting as long as you enjoy it and hopefully as I gradually improve this will be a way for me to look back and say look how much better I have got, well hopefully anyway.

I also would like to point out that I don't know how I got that aviator at the top of my blog but that also means I don't know how to get rid of it!!!!!!!!!

Well we are in the final week of the school holidays so soon it will be back to routine and rush rush rush. I think I will go and sew up Jades top, or maybe I should tidy up and stop the kids fighting first, Nah, knitting it is.

Just a quick post as things are way busy round here, I got a new book Mason Dixon Knitting and I love it I don't know why I waited so long to buy it. To be honest I didn't know if I really fancied it but had read a lot of praise for it on other blogs and decided to go for it and I am so glad I did, it's great.
The school holidays are flying by I am doing the uniform shopping and it is driving me mad.
Ambers cardigan is on the last sleeve so soon there will be pictures to show.

Well I have finished the baby blanket and a photo will be on soon. I am still plodding on with the cotton cardy, but I have also set aside 4 projects I want to get on with and I have started the first which is a bolero type jacket for Amber, in Eskimo so not very sophisticated but as I have said many times the kids love it and my main aim is to knit something they love to wear, I also let them go through my pattern books and pick which ones they want and then through the stash to pick colours.

On other news we have all been to the opticians this week Amber has to wear glasses for close work so we have got her a lovely little pink pair they really suit her. We also all had a 24 hour bug , it went from each one of us, one at a time, it was not a fun time at all.

Jade, Amber and myself also fit in a long overdue trip to the hairdressers and have all had our hair chopped off, Amber and me have had chin length bobs and Jades is shoulder length, I am so glad it is done as we were all in real need of a sort out.

I also got a bargain wool purchase I found a very reasonably priced website and they are doing a special on sirdar's Tufty wool 99p per ball, it is being discontinued, rather than the normal £2.70 per ball, so I bought 22 balls, 11 in a cerise and 11 in lilac, the postage is also free. There website is http://www.ems-stitches.co.uk I first bought something off them on ebay, they are definately cheaper than most other sites I have visited.

I am now going to try and getting some knitting done, after I have read a few other blogs!!

Right I have actually managed to load some photos on and I have had an attempt at putting them on here. The photo's aren't particularly good but I am still very much a novice in this department. I have taken a photo of Darcey's cardy so far and the baby blanket so far. Also took another picture of the pattern although the flash did catch it a bit. As you can see I haven't worked out how to fit the photo's around the text, I have tried every option right, left, centre and none, but still they don't go where I want them too!!

I know that my projects aren't very exciting or difficult, I have seen some creations on other blogs that take your breath away, but still I hope anyone who actually looks at my blog doesn't mind looking at my amateur little pieces.

Not much else going on round here at the moment except that Jade and Amber both started knitting yesterday and they are really enjoying it , I tried a couple of times before to get them going, Jade comes to the class I teach at school, but they both preferred the cross titch but they just asked off their own back to knit and they are doing ok. Especially Jade she is just getting on with it, Amber needs a bit more help but she is a year younger. Carly never took to it at all so I have high hopes for these two, Joe can do it if he wants too (not that he does!) so just Darcey to go.LOL.

Now I know how to get these pictures on I may take a few more, but don't hold your breath.
